The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was renewed between the State Key Laboratory of Cryospheric Science, Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Central Department of Environmental Science, Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University. The main points of agreement includes research collaboration and exchange of scientists. The MoU has been signed by Prof. Dr. Shichang Kang (SKLCS-CAS) and Prof. Dr. Chhatra Mani Sharma (CDES-TU) for the next five years. The MoU signing program was organized at the Central Department of Environmental Science amid professors, students and administrators from both the institutions on 1 October 2023.
