Apart from these programs, the department also runs special training packages on technical/ scientific writing, EIA, bioengineering, etc.

Students must pass all theory and practical papers separately in order to be awarded the MSc degree. The pass marks on all papers are 50% of the full marks. The department conducts an internal assessment each semester which carries a weightage of 40% of the total marks. It is mandatory to pass the internal assessment to be eligible to take the End Semester Examinations. The End Semester Examination is conducted by IOST-TU which carries a weightage of 60% of the total marks.
